1. Production Process Quality Control

The approved raw material is sent to stock yard. Billets suitable for the project are sent to the furnace. During the production process, the dimensions, length and weight of the product are measured.

The same process is repeated after the straightening process. Besides, the final product is examined further for rolling defects such as fin and burrs. All processes are reported and filed for every heat number.

2. Mechanical and Chemical Tests

Two samples are taken from product for each Heat Number. In order to obtain realistic results, the surface of the sample is cleaned on the grinding and sanding machines.

Yield, tensile and elongation characteristics (mechanical characteristics) of the sample are examined by DARTEC test machine.

By means of the bending test, it is examined whether there are any breaks or cracks on the surface of the sample.

The chemical characteristics of the sample are examined by means of the ARL spectrometer chemical analysis device.

The amount of energy absorbed by a material during fracture is examined by the impact test machine.

The products receiving approval after the quality control are allowed for shipment.

As per the ISO 9001 Quality Management system, a witness sample from the produced materials is stored in the “Quality Control Department” for a year in order to repeat the examinations and tests in case required.
